Day 28 : Lake ?? to Aunac

Another wet day in the heavy mist and rain (hence no photos...). The forest was really cool in the haze though and it was hard to avoid the thousands of brown banana slugs on the trail. The climb up was supposed to be hard, but it seemed fine after a nice rest day and good dinner. We walked with Joel from Geneva who also stayed at the gite last night - very cool guy who we hope to run into again. We all took the old GR10 route which was supposed to be dangerous in the rain, but it seemed no different than any other section? We passed the lovely tiny gite at Esbints where the gaurdian was carrying up salad from the garden to make dinner - this looked like one of the best gites we have seen, but they were full for the night and we were not finished yet anyways. Our socks were like sponges when we finally arrived at Aunac where the owner was nice enough to let us camp in his amazing green house instead of pitching our tent. We had a nice dinner with Joel and Farou, the giant dog that held the place down. A nice ending to another great day.
