Day 0- Arriving

We arrived safely after the red eye to Barcelona where Flora and Nathan intercepted us and fed us tapas and wine in an outside Barcelona cafe- a much needed pep before our 6 hour train ride through northern Spain to the Atlantic. Once there we caught a taxi to Hendaye, France and arrived late at night. After wandering around the beautiful beach town looking for lodging - and the constant reminder that we speak almost no french- we finally found a hotel where we celebrated with a much needed shower and beer from the mini-bar.
