Day 10 : Arrette la Pierre St Martin to Lescun

A nice brisk hike out of Arrette la Pierre St Martin through rugged Sierra-like scenery before dropping down into the cool forest. The day was great until we hit the last 3 km of trail which was the sloppiest mess of sheep churned mud. It took 3 times as long as it should have for us to get through it, but a welcoming Andy and Ian were spotted in town which changed our spirtits right away. Soon after Steve and Lucy strolled through and the 6 of us had a round of beers in the sun. A nice surprize since we thought we wouldn't see either of these folks again. The night ended with a special Bearn duck soup called garbure at the gite. It were duck indeed.
