Day 12 : Estaut to Gabas

A very scenic hike today as we went through the chamine de mature and then way up up up through the mostly shaded climb. There were some good camping sites up by grange de larry. This was teh most scenic day so far with great veiws of a peak I'll name later. The top of the climb was open and really hot and humid. The forcast was for rain which only came lightly in the afternoon during a long steep roadwalk down to Gabas. There was no where to camp again (except the lake after the decent which is the only bivouac site by park regulations 7pm - 7am or so). The refuge was no cheaper than a hotel in town so we went for the nice private room where we could sleep well for the huge climb tomorrow. there is no shop in Gabas.
