Day 14 : Gourette to some lake before the climb

Our map and guide show us walking a famous and flat tour de france road which we wished we had done since the trail now drops down about 300 meters and then right back up through tall grass. We stopped in Arrens Marsous for a resupply and then hesitantly pushed on to the lake since the weather was good (to shorten tomorrows day - even though we were very tired). The weather went from good to really hot and we found several ticks on us after going through loads of tall grass and weeds on the way to lake (one could take the road to avoid this). We have seen lots of ticks so far and these ones were tiny.
